A collaborative approach to foodservice design.
Orchard Hills School
Tustin Unified School District developed Orchard Hills School as a comprehensive K-8 school in Irvine, California. The 4,260 square foot food service facility is designed around an open exhibition kitchen that highlights fresh cooking and brings a unique culinary environment to the students. Four different culinary environments were developed to entice students to enjoy their dining experience.

Visual access was provided for the foodservice operators into each of the spaces which allows for inspection of the food on display as well as other operational necessities. Special considerations were made for the finishes both vertically and horizontally to accommodate the range of age groups that are served. Lighting and signage help to create a welcoming, open fell. The servery at Orchard Hills is visually pleasing to the eye while providing an array of culinary delights for the students. Fresh and healthy choices keep the K-8 dining experience exciting and fun.
